Users can securely forward messages by selecting Forward and entering the recipient’s email address.
ZixPort uses ZixCorp’s Best Method of Delivery to determine how the message is forwarded. If the recipient has the ZixMail client or is behind a ZixGateway appliance, the message is encrypted and sent to that client or ZixGateway user, otherwise the message is stored securely at ZixPort and a notification is sent. The notification message contains a link that takes the recipient to ZixPort where the message has been secured.
The Forward Message feature is controlled by the Compose feature. If the Compose feature is turned on, then the Forward Message feature is also on.
